Alavus Windows and Doors – from strong traditions to a modern window and door manufacturer
The story of Alavus Windows Ltd. began in 2003. In Rantatöysä, Alavus, carpentry products had been manufactured since the early 20th century by Alavus Wood Processing Factory, continuing up until 2002. In 2002, the story of the Wood Processing Factory came to an end. However, the carpentry industry was not meant to disappear from a region whose heart beat for windows and doors.
In 2003, a group of bold entrepreneurs decided to carry on the tradition. They purchased the factory’s window production, thus establishing Alavus Windows Ltd. – a Finnish company that honors traditions and quality, manufacturing windows and doors with domestic craftsmanship.

Finnish Windows and Doors Made to Measure
Today, Alavus Windows and Doors employs approximately 120 professionals who manufacture top-quality windows and doors at two factories: in Rantatöysä and Asemanseudulla, Alavus. Each year, around 41,000 windows and 11,000 doors leave our factories, reaching customers all over Finland.
With the widest product range on the market, we offer suitable window and door solutions for every type of property – whether it’s a cottage, detached house, apartment building, commercial property, or public facility. Every product is custom-made to the customer’s specifications, needs, and measurements – the perfect solution for both new constructions and renovations.
Over the years, our products have been selected for numerous interesting projects, including the floating house at the Loviisa Housing Fair, Meilahti Bridge Hospital, transformation projects featured in Huvila & Huussi and Kotoisa programs, and the home of Lauri Huttunen from Latela, whose renovation can be followed in the show Laurin Hurja Remontti. We deliver our products across Finland, and our installation service network covers nearly the entire country. We provide comprehensive service, from product design all the way to installation. We serve private customers, housing associations, construction companies, house manufacturers, and resellers alike.
100% Finnish Company
Alavus Windows Ltd. is a 100% Finnish, privately owned company, with its headquarters in Rantatöysä, Alavus. Our sales offices are located in Tampere, Turku, and Vantaa. In Alavus, we also have a showroom and a brick-and-mortar store, where we sell returned products, new products, spare parts, and installation accessories directly from stock.
In 2024, our turnover was €21.3 million.
